What should we do??

Ever have a conversation with your mentee that goes like this...?
"What do you want to do today?"
*Shoulder shrug*
"I dunno, whatta you wanna do?"
I've had conversations like that many times in the past, but not anymore. I'm learning to appreciate the little things in life and enjoy living in the moment more. Too often when we think about "fun" things, we think of the expensive options like taking in a ballgame, going to a movie, or going to a concert.
Here's a list to help free you from boredom without emptying your wallet.

Kids 'n Kinship Pool Party

Kids 'n Kinship annual Pool Party was a wonderful success!
Thanks to the Burnsville YMCA everyone had a great time swimming!!

Families and mentors arrived and had some time to talk with each other and decide if they wanted to swim or do activities first. Most of them headed to the pool to play.  Those who stayed in the activity room enjoyed looking at books and choosing 2 to take home.  There was a lot of laughter and smiles as they also played board games and created scrapbook pages.

  Water fun!!

Families, as well as mentors and mentees, were able to hang out together, play games, make jewelry and scrapbook pages

Vibrant Realty Burnsville provided not only all the food but also 5 volunteers!!
